1. Yes. You need to purchase Dragon Pro, Legal or Medical to have the voice file transcribed into text, and add the Philips SpeechExec Pro Dictate software to automate the workflow.
2. The SpeechExec software is not included with this device, it comes only with the PSP1200, and the SpeechExec software will not transcribe the voice file to text, only when it's integrated with Dragon as mentioned in answer to Question 1 above.
We do have the PSE1200 which includes the full package, Philips SpeechAir, SpeechExec Pro Dictate with Dragon SDK.
As you mentioned that you are not a professional user and only need this to tracnsribe your Voice files into text, PSE1200 will be the best and closest econmical match for your needs, Our support team will assist with setup.
