The way that this works is that the CM-1000-USB has built-in input for 2 channel microphones, each channel microphone can be expended for up to 2 additional microphones daisy chained, the cord of the microphones is 8 feet, the microphones pick up 360 degree approximately 3 to 4 feet from the microphone to ensure proper pickup in the 8 feet range.
